What it is
Botulinum toxin treatment — widely known as Botox, after the brand name of one of the preparations — selectively relaxes the muscles that create expression lines: on the forehead, between the brows and at the outer corner of the eyes.
It is a medical procedure performed by the doctor, planned around the anatomy and facial movement of each person. The aim is not a "frozen" face but a gentle softening of the lines, while natural expression is preserved.

Before, during and after treatment
Before
- Tell the doctor about medicines, supplements and previous treatments.
- If your treating physician allows it, avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatories and alcohol for a few days to reduce the risk of bruising.
During
- The treatment is done seated, without anaesthesia.
- You feel a light pinch at each injection point.
After
- Do not rub or press the area for 24 hours.
- Avoid intense exercise, sauna and lying down for about 4 hours.
- The result appears gradually over the first 2 weeks.
